I Remember
Mama
(adopted)
memories of my childhood linger with me still
as we sat around the stove while Mama cooked our
meal,
it was a warm and cozy i can almost feel her near
how she loved us everyone and held one so dear?
now that i am married with a child of my own
i wonder how she made it 'til three of us were
grown,
i pass the mirror and there she is looking back
at me
i know deep within my heart she will forever be
Mama died and left us sad but in her memory still
we'll carry her within our hearts that no one else
can fill,
an angel there in heave awaiting us to come
when we are through traveling here and life on
earth is done
